Somebody picked me! Somebody picked me!

I wasn't even going to check Big Bang artist claims until tomorrow. I was going to be the cool kid hanging out under the bleachers and smoking. I was going to be completely blasé about the whole thing.

Really.

As you may have guessed I caved like a virgin on prom night.

And somebody picked me!

Actually, three somebodies picked my story but the one who got me picked me first.

First! In your face! Though not really because that would be stupid and this is not a competition even though I had to wait for the last ditch claiming last year and and and..

Ahem. I was always the last to get picked in gym class, that is my only excuse. So excited.

Oh crap. I have got to finish this draft rewrite.

I'm ridiculously happy... and maybe a bit ( read: a lot) hungover. Damn divorce parties. They get you every time.

It would appear they are running two extremes on my radio station this morning. Both of which make me want to stab things.

On the one hand: Not sure who else has to listen to David Suzuki, it might just be a Canadian thing, but he is at the top of my list of people I'd punch in the face if I ever had to meet him. He's an environmentalist, green is great blah, blah, blah. I am assaulted daily by the chick he has do some of his little titbits of tips for a more 'Green' way of life. Today's topic? Divorce is bad for the environment. Something about divorced people use more power and water. I mean, really?

On the other hand: So, a hockey player went on a hunting trip, shot a bear and tweeted the picture. A debate resulted if this was PC or not. *eye roll* But then the brain trust calls up and says something to the effect that the city needs more 'real' men and hunters are 'real' men.

Now, I'm a country girl. Born and raised and I ain't going back. I appreciate cowboys and hunters and tree-huggers all in equal measure but come on. Although, if the 'real' men wanted to shoot David Suzuki in the ass with a pellet gun I would probably tweet the pictures.

I guess you can take the girl outta the country but...

In other news. My Big Bang is submitted! Yay!

What the everlovin' hell

My Auntie is frickin fabulous

I hit the Coquihalla last weekend to suprise my Grandma for her 80th birthday.

She was very happy we all showed up and dinner was good but way overpriced, that's Vancouver for you. The same carwash I get here is five dollars more in Van. I don't get it.

Anyway, I shopped, I visited it was a lot of fun and I got to stay at my Aunties house who is one of my favourite people in the world.

She gained around a million coolness points this weekend though.

My Aunt retired a couple of years ago about ten years earlier than you really should so she's been picking up odd jobs to supplement. Her latest venture has been doing extra work, which I think is so frickin cool. I asked her how it's been going and she *loves* it. She said she's done about ten shows in the last three months and keeps getting calls from her agent. We may have giggled for about ten minutes that she has an agent. So, I asked her what shows she's been doing and quite honestly I've never heard of most of them as I guess most of them air in the states and not in Canada. But there were some I did know. She has two scenes coming up on Once upon a time. I can't say what they are because there are spoilers but she told me intersting stories about cast members. Then she said she has some of her scenes on PVR of shows that have aired, I was bouncing I was so excited to see.

So we pile on the couch and she says that she had never heard of this show but the set was really great and she asked if I had ever heard of Supernatural

...

I'm pretty sure the squeal I let out was unbecoming for a 37 year old woman. Just saying.

So, if you happen to rewatch the episode with the psychics my Aunt is in it. The scene where Sam and Dean meet up for the first time in the affirmation restaurant, if you look over Sam's shoulder there is a couple at the table, that's my Auntie. And the end scene where Dean is talking to the grand daughter there is couple behind them at a table the woman with the bright flowered shirt is also my Auntie.

I am stupidly excited that my Auntie was on my favourite show and slightly embarrassed that I watched that episode and never noticed her. She already has stories about actors from a few shows that make me giggle and has promised to call me whenever something good happens. She cant tell me anything about Supernatural before it airs however as they have a seven page confidentiality agreement that *everyone* has to sign.

So, hey, I had an awesome weekend. What did you do?

So far behind I think I'm first
